STENOMESSON PEARCEI

A rather rare bulbous plant in the Amaryllis family, native to Bolivia and Peru in mountainous regions. It seems to enjoy a cool winter, and produces 30cm stems of the most beautiful, large primrose yellow, bell shaped flowers held in clusters. Grows outdoors for me, and flowers well in a sunny well drained situation, and also does equally well in a container. Plants are growing in 9cm containers just coming into seasonal growth.
