A striking Salvia that appeared in my garden from a chance seedling  that is possibly a cross between Macrophylla and sagittata, The plant produces arrow shaped foliage with a burgundy reverse, and has the most intense gentian blue flowers held on almost black stems, This plant has been in flower all winter and is loved by butterflies and bees , growing to around 2 metres tall.
